About Us

Hello! My name is Andrea Shakespeare. I am blessed with a wonderful husband, two children, and many grandchildren ranging in age from 6 to 20 years old. Family has always been at the heart of everything I do, and my lifelong passions have always been children and music.

My journey began at the age of 17 when I started teaching music and working with children. I first built my career in early childhood education through childcare and daycare settings before earning my music degree. I then spent more than 15 years teaching music to students in grades K–12 within the public school system.

Throughout my career, I dreamed of creating a place where young children could experience the joy and lifelong benefits of music from an early age. With the encouragement and support of my family, that dream became Chimes.

At Chimes, our philosophy is centered on providing a music-rich learning environment where children are immersed in music every day. From hands-on musical experiences to piano lessons and performance opportunities, we offer enriching experiences that many young children would not typically have access to without seeking specialized programs elsewhere.

Watching each child grow in confidence, creativity, and a love for learning is the greatest reward. Chimes is more than a daycare—it's the realization of a lifelong dream, and it is my privilege to share my passion for music and early childhood education with every family who walks through our doors.
